"It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood"
Gateway Health is among 13 local companies to receive the "2017 Fred Rogers Good Neighbor Award" for exemplary community volunteerism. The awards will be presented Thursday evening, March 23 at Hotel Monaco, downtown. Gateway Health encourages employees to use their annual paid volunteer day to volunteer with an organization of their choice. Various teams within Gateway will also join forces and organize a volunteer event as a group at an organization that touches Gateway members. As a result, Gateway Health employees often take advantage of many of United Way's volunteer opportunities. In the past year, Gateway has volunteered at numerous local charitable events, including, the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, the Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, Catholic Charities, The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes and the United Way, to name a few. ... |
