KPS Health Plans was established in 1946 by the physicians of the Kitsap County Medical Society. It is a nonprofit corporation licensed as a health care service contractor by the state of Washington. KPS offers a wide variety of preferred provider organization (PPO) health plan options for individuals and families, seniors, small groups, large groups, chamber members, school districts, federal employees and associations.
In 2004, KPS was named one of Washington Statefs Best Companies to Work For by Washington CEO magazine, and in 2005 KPS was recognized as one of Seattle magazinefs Best Places to Work.
